PACU RN Job in Lancaster, OH

Fairfield Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a part-time position working day shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with three shifts per week over an 8-week contract beginning August 24, 2026.

Schedule and Requirements

• Work 8-hour day shifts, three times per week
• Weekend call required one day (Saturday or Sunday) every 4.5 weeks
• Night call required 4–5 times per 6-week schedule
• Valid Ohio nursing license required
• CPR certification required
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred

Role Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Implement physician orders and notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks

Required Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
• Manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathetically with patients
• Handle heavy work involving exertion of 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling activities

You will earn $2,336 weekly. This contract is ideal for nurses seeking flexible part-time work in a post-operative care environment.
