OR RN Job in Aurora, MO

Join Mercy Hospital Aurora as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This is a travel position offering day shifts with the flexibility and pay typical of contract healthcare roles.

Position Details:

• Work 3x12 day shifts per week
• 91-day assignment starting March 23, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40
• Based in Aurora, MO

Role Responsibilities:

• Anticipate surgeon needs and deliver sterile equipment efficiently
• Perform setup, inspection, and breakdown of OR rooms
• Maintain current knowledge of endoscopy, cataract, general surgery, and C-section procedures
• Complete patient handoffs using SBAR format with bedside reporting
• Manage room restocking and next-day planning
• Use EPIC EMR system for documentation and medical records
• Delegate tasks to and direct unlicensed healthcare providers and LPNs
• Participate in process improvement activities and complete required competencies

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1+ years of nursing experience
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• OR experience in endoscopy, cataract surgery, general surgery, and C-sections
• Flu vaccination required (November 1–April 1)
