Description
Opportunity:
Radiology / Cardiology - Interventional Radiology
Job Details:
• 4x10 day shifts, Monday through Friday with 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM start times
• No weekend requirement; rotating nights and weekend calls as needed
• Provide support to cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses for procedures performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab
• Execute safe and precise treatment under the supervision of a cardiologist
• Perform technical analysis of interventional radiology procedures
• Assess patients and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
• May be responsible for mentoring and training students
• Treat patients across all age groups including infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ARRT (R) with California radiology technologist license or RCIS, and Fluoroscopy permit
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an IR Tech required; 2 years of experience preferred
• Travel experience required
• Required skills include: angioplasty, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, catheter/drain exchange, central venous access/port placement, chest tube placement, embolization, endovascular interventions, fluoroscopy, IVC filter placement, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, stent placement, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, ultrasound, vertebroplasty, IVUS, and maintenance of sterile field
