About this role

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center, supporting a high-acuity procedural environment. This is a 98-week travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour day shifts (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekly pay: $2,599.20
  • 30-hour orientation provided

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Manage an average daily census of 15 cases
  • Provide conscious sedation support during procedures
  • Participate in late team rotations, including 1st late and 2nd late assignments each week
  • Monitor patients during ablations, mappings, conduction studies, and device placements (AICD, pacemakers, Watchman)
  • Perform accurate EKG lead placement, sterile technique, and equipment setup
  • Operate specialized equipment including PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, and Cardio Lab systems
  • Document in Pyxis, CUPID EPIC, and Cardio Lab
  • Support VT ablations, PVI, CV, A-Flutter, AV Node ablations, ICD/pacer placement and exchanges, and laser lead extraction

Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • Minimum 3 years nursing experience
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Demonstrated experience in electrophysiology procedures, dysrhythmia interpretation, and laser-assisted techniques
  • Proficiency with permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, cardiac ablation, and device programming

Additional Expectations

  • Must report to work during disasters, mass casualty events, and emergencies (Storm Team and Hurricane Team assignments)
  • Work 2 of 3 major holidays
  • Complete candidate lab entry within 48 hours of signing
  • Complete all testing within 48 hours
  • No RTO during the first week; all subsequent RTO must be pre-approved
  • RTO after booking is not permitted; call-offs may result in assignment cancellation
  • Remain open to floating within or near the facility

Scrubs are provided. First-time travelers are welcome. This role demands reliability, clinical expertise, and flexibility in a fast-paced procedural setting.
