Medical Assistant Job in Dallas, TX

Children's Medical Center Dallas is seeking a Medical Assistant for its pediatric critical care unit. This is a permanent placement position beginning June 15, 2026.

Schedule and Location

• 3x12 days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Dallas or Plano campus
• Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks with a minimum of 6 shifts per block
• Weekend, night, and holiday responsibilities shared equally among team members

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients with single and multi-organ illness
• Dallas campus PICU: 4–6 patients per day shift
• Plano campus PICU: 6–8 patients per day shift
• Perform arterial line placement, central venous line placement, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and PICC placement
• May float between Dallas and Plano campuses as staffing needs require

Requirements

• Allied Health Professional degree
• Critical care experience required (CICU, CVICU, NICU, or ER background considered)
• Texas PA License and PAC-PA certification
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated experience with critical care procedures and protocols

Compensation

• $1,620 per week
• 364-day assignment
