Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

You'll work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, providing care for adult and geriatric patient populations. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a 3x12 day shift schedule.

What You'll Do

• Deliver respiratory therapy services across the facility
• Participate in orientation modules that are billable during your first week
• Be available for every-other-weekend coverage
• May be assigned to the Emergency Team during emergency events, with the expectation to remain at the facility until the event concludes

What You Need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• RRT or CRT credential with valid Louisiana license or compact license at time of submission
• Two manager or supervisor references for clearance
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Residence more than 65 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license address)

Important Details

• First-time travelers are welcome if you meet experience requirements; new graduates are not considered
• If you previously worked as permanent staff at this facility, you must be separated from it for a full year before returning as a traveler

Compensation & Schedule

You'll earn $1,917 weekly. Your assignment begins May 11, 2026.
