Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• Scrub for a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedic surgery and total joints, ENT, general surgery, urology/gynecology, and ophthalmic surgery
• Perform GYN procedures including hysteroscopy and cystoscopy
• Assist with ENT procedures including tonsillectomy, thyroidectomy, FESS, and FUSION
• Work in a 5-room operating room on the ground floor
• Day shift position; night shift not available
• Late coverage and on-call responsibilities required on a bi-weekly basis
• May float to Endoscopy as needed
• Operate and work with power drills, saws, Arthrex, Synthes, Stryker, Zimmer, laparoscopic towers, insufflators, bovie, microscope, coblator, suction, cautery, and OR tables
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Must demonstrate expertise in surgical identification and setup, sterile technique and aseptic practice, counts, specimen handling, surgical site preparation and draping, medication handling on sterile field, and troubleshooting sterile field contamination
• Must be capable of fast room turnover and working independently with minimal orientation
• Intraoperative neuromonitoring familiarity and vendor coordination experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, CST
• Dress code: Hospital laundered scrubs and hair cover required
