Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Allentown, PA

You'll work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a specialized neonatal and pediatric setting at LVH - Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This is a 13-week assignment on a 3x12 day shift schedule, with a weekly pay of $2,332.80.

Role Overview

You will provide respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients across both units based on facility needs. Your responsibilities include aerosol setup, BiPAP and CPAP management, intubation assistance, high-frequency ventilation, and tracheostomy care. The neonatal unit operates with 40 beds, and you'll work closely with nursing and clinical teams to deliver evidence-based respiratory support.

Assignment Details

• 13-week duration with 40 hours of orientation included
• 3x12 day shift pattern with weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• One pre-approved time off request allowed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• At least 1 year experience in a level 3 or higher NICU, or minimum 1 year PICU experience
• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• Active Pennsylvania state license
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic charting system

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pennsylvania fingerprints and Childline clearances required
