PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. Your role involves managing patients with health problems ranging from straightforward to highly complex, working three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of pediatric patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene as necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge planning
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel for specialized patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• PALS certification from American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients

This is an 89-day assignment beginning April 13, 2026. You'll earn $2,930.40 per week.
