Job Details:

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Weekend and holiday requirements apply
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience and ability to float throughout all children's units
• Float assignments include acute care units: surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology oncology, step down unit, and cardiac pediatrics
• May be floated to NICU for feeder growers and low acuity patients only
• Must have experience with trach care and high flow oxygen therapy
• Must be familiar with infusion therapy and serve as first line for skills
• Assume responsibility for assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Required: 1 year nursing experience, Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program
• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher
