Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg PCU Adult

Job Details:

• Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
• Must be experienced in all areas of Med Surg/PCU and willing to flex to other departments as needed
• Active Washington state nursing license required
• Provide patient education utilizing appropriate education modalities
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment use
• Follow restraint policy correctly with proper evaluation and documentation
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all PCU/Telemetry/Med Surg equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow repair procedures as needed
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures using standard precautions
• Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status and nursing interventions
• Complete physician orders in timely manner and perform 24-hour order checks
• Provide comprehensive change of shift reports to oncoming staff
• Report critical lab values to physicians according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
• Additional duties as assigned
