Respiratory Therapist Job in Morgantown, WV

WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join its pediatric respiratory care team. You will work 12-hour day shifts in a collaborative acute care environment serving neonatal and pediatric patients.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3x12 day shifts per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday included)
• Holiday coverage may be required
• No on-call or standby responsibilities
• No floating between units
• Preference scheduling available with weekend commitment
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver 20–25 respiratory treatments per day
• Cover NICU and PICU areas within the facility
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care including aerosol therapy, Volara, cough assist, IPV, and NAVA
• Operate Hamilton and Servo ventilators, Respironics and Hamilton BiPAP devices, and Fisher & Paykel HFNC equipment
• Perform airway management and intrahospital transport
• Assist with intubation procedures (assistant role)
• Care for pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Work within a team of approximately 8 RTs per shift
• Use EPIC for patient charting

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 or more years of experience in PICU and/or Level 4 or greater NICU
• RRT credential preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (AHA)
