Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is a 4x12 nights position with a duration of 84 weeks, beginning May 11, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patient populations in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic interventions under established protocols. You will work with the Epic charting system and participate in a 5-day orientation with billable modules.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana license or valid compact license required at contract start
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in your specialty
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CRT/RRT
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
• Primary residence must be located 65+ miles from the facility
• Two manager or supervisor references required for clearance

Assignment Details

• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call-ins accepted; strict attendance policy in place
• May be assigned to Emergency Team during emergency events with expectation to remain at facility until event concludes
• Epic charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced; no new graduates

Important Policy

If you previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractor at this facility, you must be separated from the facility for a full year before returning as a travel employee.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,556
