Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week including every other weekend and holidays in rotation
• Care for up to 1-3 ICU patients per shift with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• May float to the emergency department or PCU to care for PCU or ICU holds
• Perform bedside shift report for every patient with each transfer of care
• Proficiency in reading telemetry strips required
• Manage patients on ventilators and perform advanced hemodynamics monitoring
• Perform or assist with procedures including post-op day 0 CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and advanced hemodynamics
• Provide neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage including experience with EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun induced hypothermia
• Administer respiratory treatments including inhalers and nebulizers outside of the ICU
• Perform CRRT and phlebotomy as needed
• Use i-mobile phones and mobile computer workstations on wheels
• Document using Meditech system
• Navy uniform required
• Minimum 36 months RN experience required with at least one year in an ICU
• Prior CVICU experience required
• One previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred, preferably in a facility using Meditech
• BSN preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Advanced certifications and TNCC certification preferred
