Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment
• Patient ratio of 5:1 during all shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• No call requirements
• Must be available to float if census drops (travelers float first)
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Orthopedics experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Required skills: cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team utilization, peripheral line care, nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
• Preferred experience: total joint replacement and spinal surgery
• Care for patients with total knee/hip replacements, spinal fusions, hip fractures, orthopedic trauma, and medical overflow
• Work with specialized equipment including frequent wound vacs and drains
• Use EPIC charting system, Pyxis, and SBAR communication
• Navy blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Interview required before offer
• Must complete pre-start online modules (8-10 hours) using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
