Job Details:

• 5x8 day shifts with flex start times between 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• On-call required: up to 12 hours per week (Monday 7:00 PM through Friday 7:00 AM)
• Weekend call required: 12 hours per weekend (Friday 7:00 PM through Sunday 7:00 PM)
• Every other holiday call required
• Scrubs provided
• 2 years of General Surgery experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be comfortable treating patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Daily census of approximately 25 OR cases across 7 operating rooms
• Required certification: BLS
• Required skills include: Appendectomy, Arthroscopy, Arthrotomy, Carpal tunnel release, Cholecystectomy, Closed reduction of fractures, Code response, Colon resection, Fire Safety, General OR, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Infection control, Laminectomy/discectomy, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Mastectomy, Open reduction of fractures, Specimen handling/labeling, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Total joint replacement, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
