Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:25 serving adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must have critical care experience to work in high volume ER, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC)
• CRT not accepted
• Virginia licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required (other state licenses accepted with 90-day temporary authorization)
• Competent in ABG interpretation and ventilator management (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)
• Skilled in aerosol and medication delivery systems including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, and other respiratory medications
• Proficient in airway management including extubation, oral/nasal airway placement, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Work with specialized equipment: Servo I, Servo U, V-60 BiPAP, Optiflow heated high flow, iNO with iNOvent, and LTV1200
• Floating required within skillset
• Orientation includes 36 hours plus 2-8.5 hours of modules during first week
• Accept first-time travelers (1 year travel experience preferred)
• Locals within 100 miles not accepted
