ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Day shift position with weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period (Saturday and Sunday for day shifts)
• Must be available to work holidays as needed, no PTO allowed for holidays
• This position has zero hands-on patient care
• Responsible for placing patients into appropriate beds/units across up to 3 assigned hospitals with 500-1,000 beds
• Must utilize critical thinking skills to evaluate bed requests and communicate with charge nurses or leadership when placements are not appropriate
• Will work across 3 screens utilizing multiple applications including TeleTracking, Cerner, and multiple Google applications
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
• Must have experience with TeleTracking and Cerner
• Must be proficient with computers, including Zoom and Google applications
• Must be able to multitask and have strong customer service skills
• Must understand the differences between hospital departments and units (e.g., MedSurg vs. Telemetry)
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
• Active RN license required
• No floating required
• Scrubs of any clean, professional color accepted; casual wear including jeans (no rips, tears, or holes) and clean hoodies without large writing permitted
• Charting system: EPIC
• No BSN required
