Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 10:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 9:15 PM depending on facility needs at time of onboarding
• 1-3 call shifts per month required
• 2 holidays per year coverage required
• Function under direction of registered professional nurse in moderate to high acuity surgical cases
• Prepare operative suite and surgical field while maintaining sterile field and patient safety
• Set up sterile tables with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications
• Perform surgical counts with circulator and participate in procedure pause/time-out
• Scrub, gown, and glove; assist with gowning and gloving surgeon and assistants
• Pass instruments to surgeon and maintain organized back table and operative field
• Maintain highest standard of sterile technique during procedures
• Prepare sterile dressings and participate in post-procedure pause
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
• Assist with room turnover, stocking, cleaning equipment, and preparing for future cases
• Provide age-appropriate and culturally aware patient care
• Transport patients and assist with between-case and terminal room cleaning
• Required certifications: BLS, CST or TS-C(NCCT) or CSFA or CSA
• National certification required upon hire
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must complete all initial and annual competencies and mandatory education
• Strong customer service skills and ability to function in stressful situations required
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and basic computer skills essential
