Physical Therapist Acute Care Job in Fayetteville, GA

Piedmont Fayette Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist for acute care services in Fayetteville, Georgia. This is a 140-day travel assignment starting October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,421.

Schedule & Shift Details

• 4x10 day shifts with multiple scheduling options available
• Weekday hours: 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM; Weekend hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Weekends and holidays are part of the rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission

Requirements

• Georgia state license required in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Role Details

• Patient population: Adults and geriatrics with daily census of 120
• Day patient ratio: 15; weekend patient ratio: 10
• Approximately 8 patient visits per day
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed

Patient Diagnoses & Clinical Focus

• Arthritis, fractures, stroke, cancer, pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory failure, renal disease, heart failure, and colon surgery
• Key skills: acute care, gait training, patient and family education, plan of care development, post-stroke rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonary care, assistive devices, vital sign monitoring, and strength testing

Holiday Expectations

• If one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you are expected to work all of them
• If three major holidays fall during your assignment, you are expected to work two
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
