Memorial Health in Lawton, OK is seeking an X-Ray Technician for weekend nights. This 91-day travel assignment runs 16-hour night shifts beginning June 29, 2026.
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct and assist in radiologic examinations for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Prepare rooms and equipment for radiologic examinations according to established protocols
- Position patients and explain procedures to alleviate fears and concerns
- Operate all radiologic equipment including portable machines and C-arm equipment
- Assist radiologists and surgeons during fluoroscopic and special examinations
- Prepare opaque media for special examinations and complete consent forms
- Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department using wheelchairs or carts
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures including vital signs
- Perform image processing via computer radiography system and PACS
- Maintain proper radiation protection methods for self, patients, and staff
- Complete record keeping duties and statistical reports
- Teach and oversee student technologists when applicable
- Take call on rotational basis with 24-hour availability for emergencies
Requirements:
- Graduate of AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program or meet ARRT requirements
- Current CPR certification (must be maintained)
- Completion of continuing education requirements
- Ability to lift medical equipment up to 50 pounds and assist with 300-pound patients
- Ability to stand approximately 2 hours per day and walk throughout hospital
- Ability to work in stressful situations with exposure to diseases and hazardous chemicals
