Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Primary patient population is adult patients
• Temp to perm opportunity available
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
• Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
• Perform patient assessments and institute respiratory care plans
• Perform various technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital
• Responsibilities include emergency (Code Blue and White) response, airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, delivery of aerosolized drugs, and ventilator management
• Perform oral hygiene, airway retaining device placement and maintenance, and airway support device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices
• Manage oxygen delivery devices and therapeutic monitoring, chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation
• Clean and stock equipment and supplies as necessary
• May function as Shift Leader or Team Leader
• Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, polysomnography, and transport duties
• Required certifications: RT or RCP License in state of employment, BLS (AHA), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC
