ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, occasionally 1:3 for low acuity patients
• Work in 10-bed ICU unit with private rooms, sharing floor space with PCU
• Generally work every 3rd weekend with flexibility based on need
• Work every 3rd holiday including winter holidays
• Float to PCU and occasionally MedSurg with full patient assignments (1:5-6 on MedSurg)
• No call or standby requirements
• Minimum 1 year ICU experience required with ventilator experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must have experience with ventilators, arterial lines, PICC lines, ports, chest tubes, drains, wounds, ostomies, OG/NG tubes, and arrhythmia identification
• Responsible for titrating drips including insulin, levophed, cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, TPA, heparin, amiodarone, lasix, and sedation drips
• Care for patients with DKA, CHF, MVA, CVA, sepsis, overdose, and general medical conditions
• Use EPIC charting system
• Complete 2 days of department nursing orientation plus 1 floor shift
• Dress code requires solid color scrubs with no designs and natural hair colors
• Must reside within 50-mile radius
