Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Chesapeake, VA

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab Holding unit. This is a 147-week assignment beginning August 24, 2026, with the option to extend through January 9, 2027.

Schedule & Compensation

• 4x10 day shifts, Monday–Friday only
• Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (worked time may extend beyond scheduled hours)
• 40 hours per week; no weekends or on-call
• Weekly pay: $2,592
• You must work two of the three winter holidays

Requirements

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license required at time of application
• Minimum two years recent relevant experience
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system
• Critical care exposure with cardiac patients

Preferred Experience

• Background in ICU, Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Pre/Post Procedure Recovery, or Cardiac Rehabilitation
• Experience with coronary angioplasty, coronary stent placement, IABP, Impella device management, EP studies, and EP device implants
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and vasoactive drips

Key Skills

• Arterial line management and peripheral line care
• Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Heparin protocols and sheath removal
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Phlebotomy and blood product administration
• IV insulin protocols
• Post cardiac angiogram and pre/post cardiac cath care

You will work with adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic procedural environment. This role offers stable weekday scheduling with no on-call responsibilities.
