Technologist - X-Ray

Job Details:

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized X-Ray procedures
• Maintain standards of ARRT and IEMA
• Demonstrate courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers
• Utilize appropriate scanning protocols to demonstrate necessary anatomy
• Adjust technical factors in accordance with age specific needs in a timely manner
• Administer oral and/or IV contrast as needed
• Assist physicians in procedures when required
• Complete documentation according to specific guidelines
• Maintain supplies, equipment and work areas to be readily available when needed
• Adhere to hospital policies and professional standards
• Follow Radiation Safety and ALARA Standards
• Work with diverse patient population including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience required
• Must be X-Ray Technologist certified
• GE equipment experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Illinois IEMA license required
• Cerner and Change Healthcare PACS experience preferred
• Surgery experience preferred
• Weekend schedule and on-call responsibilities to be determined
