ICU Registered Nurse Job in Stockbridge, GA

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 24-bed Intensive Care Unit in Stockbridge, Georgia. This is a 98-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026, on a 3x12 day shift schedule at $1,814.40 per week.

Position Overview

You will provide direct care to an adult and geriatric patient population with a typical patient ratio of 1:2–3, and you must be prepared to accept a third patient as needed. The unit maintains an average daily census of 19. You'll float within the facility and scope of practice as assigned, and every other weekend is required unless otherwise specified.

Experience & Credentials

A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted. You must hold a current Georgia or Compact nursing license and maintain BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications throughout your assignment.

Core Clinical Skills

You will manage ventilated patients, perform central line care and management, and provide acute stroke and CVA management. Additional required skills include CVVHD/CRRT, high-flow nasal cannula therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, post-cardiac surgery care, post-neurosurgery management, and ETT/NT suctioning.

Unit Environment

The ICU utilizes Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR documentation systems. You will work with cardiac monitoring, BIS monitoring, train-of-four assessment, Arctic Sun, FloTrac, and IABP equipment. Common diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-operative complications, cardiogenic shock, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.

Assignment Terms

Holiday coverage is required. If 1–2 major holidays fall within your assignment, you are expected to work them. If 3 major holidays fall within your assignment, you must work 2. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. You may request a maximum of 7 days off per contract; all requests must be finalized at submission. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, and travel pairs are not permitted. Scrub color is navy blue.
