<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in Operating Room under supervision of nursing supervisor and circulating nurse<br>• Function as scrub or assist during surgical procedures<br>• Minimum of three years operating room experience preferred<br>• Background in Cesarean Sections, Orthopedic, General, and Vascular surgery preferred<br>• High school education or equivalent required<br>• Successful completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program required<br>• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association required (renewed every two years)<br>• Maintain required Surgical Technologist certification<br>• Establish and maintain sterile field according to AORN Standards of Practice<br>• Perform gowning, gloving, and surgical scrubbing per facility policy<br>• Assist with skin preparation and draping of patients<br>• Prepare and maintain knowledge of all equipment and supplies for surgical procedures<br>• Perform sharps, sponge, and instrument counts<br>• Clean and sterilize contaminated instruments and equipment<br>• Operate sterilizer equipment safely with accurate documentation<br>• Identify medications and solutions by name, dosage, and expiration date<br>• Assist with patient transfers and provide reassurance<br>• Complete morning checks including temperature monitoring and case cart preparation<br>• Operate Xenex robot for facility cleaning protocols</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive surgical services department that provides a wide range of surgical procedures including cesarean sections, orthopedic, general, and vascular surgeries.
