Occupational Therapist Job in Alliance, NE

Box Butte General Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation department in Alliance, Nebraska. This is an 88-week travel assignment beginning June 23, 2026.

Position Overview

You will provide occupational therapy services to restore functional abilities, relieve pain, and prevent or minimize disability in our patient population. Your work will include evaluating, planning, coordinating, administering, and supervising OT treatments tailored to individual patient needs.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercise, splinting, modalities, and self-care training
• Complete comprehensive patient care documentation per hospital and professional standards
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students
• Participate in departmental quality assurance projects and weekly cleaning activities
• Attend over 80% of rehabilitation department meetings

Schedule

You will work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shifts, 5 days per week with one hour lunch break. One weekend day per month is required. Weekly pay is $2,664.

Required Qualifications

• Current Nebraska state license as an Occupational Therapist
• Active BLS certification through American Heart Association
• Certification to administer Electrotherapeutic Agents, Deep Thermal Agents, and Superficial Thermal Agents
• Physical Agent Modalities (PAM) certification
• Reliable personal transportation (Alliance does not have Uber or Lyft services)

Preferred Experience

One to two years of rural health setting experience is preferred, though we are willing to consider new graduates with the required certifications.
