Med Surg RN Job in Independence, MO

Join Centerpoint Medical Center as a travel RN in our 16-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation unit. This 12-week contract runs 3 shifts per week on a day schedule (7 AM–7 PM), with every third weekend required. You will earn $1,971 per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Perform wound care, line insertion, blood administration, and antibiotic administration
• Document in Meditech 5.6 electronic documentation system
• Operate equipment including Sara Steady lift, Hoyer lift, and Alaris Pumps
• Engage in patient experience initiatives: goal setting, hourly rounding, and bedside shift report
• Float to like units as needed as contract staff

Staffing & Support

• Patient Care Technician (PCT) available when census reaches 8 or above
• No unit secretary on the unit

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Inpatient acute rehabilitation experience required
• Familiarity with FIM and CARE Tool measures
• Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Dress code: Grey scrub top with black or grey scrub bottoms
