Pediatrics RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health is seeking an RN to provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients across multiple units. You will work 3x12 night shifts for an 89-week assignment starting April 20, 2026, at $2,530.80 per week.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for your assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Interact with families regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate

Float Requirements

You must have Level 1 Trauma experience and the ability to float throughout all children's units. Float assignments include acute care units: surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology oncology, step-down unit, and cardiac pediatrics. You may be floated to NICU for feeder growers and low acuity patients only.

Clinical Skills Required

• Tracheostomy care and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Infusion therapy with ability to serve as first-line resource for skills

Schedule and Requirements

Weekend and holiday requirements apply. You must maintain current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License, BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certification.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher
