About this role
You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the NICU at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, a regional high-acuity Fetal Care Center. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.
Schedule and Pay
- 3 shifts per week, 12-hour nights (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Weekly pay: $2,597
Role Details
You'll care for neonatal patients with high-acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions. Patient ratios are 1:3 across days, nights, and weekends. Float to like assignments throughout the hospital, including the Liberty campus, is required.
Patient Population
You'll work with infants experiencing Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Failure to Thrive, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hypoglycemia, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension.
Equipment and Support
You'll operate specialized equipment including Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Ram Can, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights and Blankets. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of NICU specialty experience
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Ventilator and trach experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Ohio single state or compact/multi-state license required
- NRP and BLS certifications required
- Epic charting experience preferred
