PCU Registered Nurse Job in Columbia, SC

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per every 6-week schedule
• Work in a 41-bed progressive care trauma/telemetry unit
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, flexing up to 1:5 as needed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with traumatic injuries requiring surgical intervention
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale, Telemetry
• Medication test required
• 1+ years of recent unit experience required for first-time travelers
• 1 year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
• Must complete pre-assignment testing and modules within 48 hours of receiving login information
• Floating to other qualified units and campuses may be required based on census needs
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Must be located more than 100 miles from facility (with specific distance exceptions for certain specialties)
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Unit equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 14 patients
• Care for patients with injuries from gunshot wounds, penetrating injuries, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls
