<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ED</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide inpatient-level nursing care to admitted patients boarding in the Emergency Department while awaiting transfer to an inpatient bed<br>• Work 12-hour shifts with scheduling patterns including weekdays and/or weeknights based on coverage needs<br>• Night shift: Sunday night through Thursday night schedule<br>• Day shift: Monday through Friday schedule<br>• Patient ratio up to 4:1 with patients including telemetry monitoring, IV medications, post-procedural care, or general inpatient medical-surgical needs<br>• Care specifically for admitted boarder patients located within the Emergency Department<br>• Not expected to take regular ED patient assignments but may care for patients of varying acuity consistent with skill set<br>• May be required to temporarily provide care in another unit within clinical competency if organizational needs change<br>• Recent inpatient medical-surgical experience required<br>• Required certifications: Active RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)<br>• Must demonstrate strong inpatient clinical skills and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment<br>• Requires flexibility, teamwork, and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams<br>• Fast-paced Emergency Department setting with collaboration among ED physicians, hospitalists, ICU teams, and inpatient services</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This academic medical center operates as a major healthcare institution providing comprehensive emergency services and inpatient care.
