Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN on a 15-bed medical-surgical unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment with day shifts from 5:00 PM to 9:30 AM, working 3x12 hour shifts. You will earn $1,971 weekly with guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week.

Your Role

• Provide direct care to medical and surgical patients of all age groups
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Coordinate care with ancillary departments
• Work with patient ratios of 1:5–6 on days and 1:6–7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• May be floated to other units based on staffing needs

Schedule & Requirements

• Day shifts, 3x12 hours per week
• Every other weekend work required
• No call requirements
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift—you must be available the entire first week

Equipment & Systems

You will use Nova Meters for blood glucose monitoring, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machines, and EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri licensure
• BLS certification from AHA
• 1 year of medical-surgical inpatient nursing experience
• ACLS from AHA preferred
• Flu vaccination required November 1–April 1

Physical Demands & Dress Code

You will stand and walk most of your shift and lift up to 50 lbs with assistance. Black scrubs are required; open-toed shoes are not permitted.
