PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - Pre Op

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour varied day shifts with 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Provide care through operative phases in Pre-Op and Post-Op settings, not including circulating
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:3 in Pre and Post Op
• Work in 3 OR suites handling approximately 150-160 cases per month
• Cases include Endoscopy, Urology, Orthopedics (total knee, spine, hand, elbow, and shoulders), Dental, and ENT
• Utilize Omnicell for medications and supplies and Meditech for computer charting
• Equipment representatives are available for 75% of surgeries
• Scrubs provided by the department
• Orientation held every Wednesday, consisting of three days of classroom orientation and one shift with a preceptor on the unit
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Pre-Op and Post-Op setting required
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or a Compact State
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS all issued through American Heart Association
• Personal reliable transportation required as the area does not have rideshare services
