Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work day shifts Monday-Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM with early 6:00 AM start for Open Heart Case Prep
• Take call 3-4 times per week from 3:15 PM to 6:45 AM on weeknights
• Work every other to every third weekend call from Friday 3:15 PM to Monday 6:45 AM
• Must be willing to work rotating holidays
• 15-minute call response time required with 8-hour reprieve shifts post-call
• Work in 2 CVOR suites handling 1-3 cases per day including open hearts, thoracotomies, VATS, and vascular procedures
• Common cases include CABG, valve procedures, aneurysms, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, and Impella 5.5
• Must have 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts, CABG, and valve procedures
• Must be able to first scrub and be willing to cross-train into general OR if CV volumes are low
• Must be willing to float to the floor as a 1:1 sitter to supplement hours during low case volumes
• Required certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP
• 4-5 days unit-based orientation plus 2 buddy call shifts
• Scrubs provided by facility
• EPIC charting system used
• Profile review and manager interview required
