Physical Therapist Assistant Job in St. Charles, MO

You will work as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Vertical Health Services - Aspen Point Health and Rehabilitation, a long-term care and skilled nursing facility in St. Charles, MO. This is a day shift position running 5x8 hours per week with no call responsibilities and no weekend work required.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement components of patient care and obtain data related to treatments provided
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to modify care as necessary
• Assist in treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life patients
• Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups
• Work directly with the Physical Therapist to support patient progress
• Read and follow instructions from the supervising Physical Therapist
• Communicate with families to determine best at-home care techniques
• Teach patients techniques such as balance training
• Transfer patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the physical therapy area
• Maintain a clean and organized physical therapy environment
• Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and filing paperwork

Requirements:

• Valid PTA license
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience
• Long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience
• BLS certification (AHA certified and active at time of start)

This assignment runs for 91 days with a start date of June 15, 2026. You will earn $1,728 per week.
