Neuro ICU RN Job in Indianapolis, IN

Join Franciscan Health Indianapolis as a registered nurse in our 10-bed Neurosurgical and Neurological Intensive Care unit. You will work the night shift, 3 days per week on a 12-hour schedule with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 23, 2026.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 3x12 hours per week
• Every other weekend commitment required (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Float to other inpatient areas when home unit census is low

Clinical Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, managing patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, post-operative craniotomy, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity. You must have comprehensive assessment skills, including thorough neurological assessment, and experience caring for hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients.

Equipment and Systems

You will work with specialized equipment including Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer. The facility uses Epic as its electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Preferred skills: Pupillometer, EVD management, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic EMR experience

Compensation and Placement

You will receive $2,216 weekly. This assignment offers the opportunity to build specialized neurointensive care expertise while working with an experienced team in a respected health system.
