Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Implement professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person within a caring, healing-focused environment
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, including consideration of patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors, collect objective and subjective data, and develop prioritized problem lists in coordination with the inter-professional team
• Design and implement individualized care actions and interventions relevant to patient culture and age
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and patient responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Provide patient and family-centered education addressing identified educational needs based on level of comprehension
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care provided by other team members
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through collaborative relationships with nursing staff and other disciplines
