Med Surg RN Job in Elizabethtown, Kentucky

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. in Elizabethtown, Kentucky is seeking an RN for Medical-Surgical nursing. This is a 12-hour shift position running 89 days, with a start date of September 28, 2026. You will earn $2,187 per week.

Schedule and Expectations

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

Your Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering patient culture, age, and developmental level
• Identify patient risk factors and collect objective and subjective data in coordination with the inter-professional team
• Design and implement individualized care actions and interventions relevant to patient culture and age
• Conduct and document ongoing assessments and patient responses to procedures and therapies using the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Provide patient and family-centered education addressing identified educational needs based on level of comprehension
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of delegated patient care
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, patient falls, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI prevention, and documentation auditing
• Promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through collaborative relationships with nursing staff and other disciplines
