PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Details:

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions under Physical Therapist supervision
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Administer various rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities
• Use supportive and assistive devices as part of treatment plans
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist for treatment adjustments
• Report treatment effectiveness and outcomes to supervising Physical Therapist
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and service providers
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in electronic documentation system
• Accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend required facility trainings, in-services and conferences
• Assist with obtaining necessary DME or supplies under Physical Therapist guidance
• Supervise and support students under Physical Therapist direction
• No call responsibilities
• No weekend requirements
• 1+ years of PTA experience required
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Active Oklahoma PTA license required
• Must adhere to APTA and State practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
