ED RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for its Adult Emergency Department in Rochester, NY. This is a 12-hour shift position with an 89-day duration, starting July 6, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in a Level I trauma center emergency department that manages more than 100,000 patient visits annually. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Managing a diverse patient population across all acuity levels
• Floating between units as needed
• Assisting with boarder patients
• Assuming charge responsibilities per unit needs
• Working day, evening, and night rotating shifts
• Availability for weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities

Schedule and Compensation

You will work either 36 or 48 hours per week on a 12-hour shift basis. Weekly pay is $2,368.08.

Requirements

You must hold a current New York RN License (NY License only). Required certifications include BLS and ACLS (both American Heart Association only) and NIHSS certification. You are required to have a minimum of two years of Emergency Department experience and telemetry experience. Previous travel ER experience is required—this department does not support first-time travelers.
