Job Details:

• Day/Evening shift scheduled 3 shifts per week with 12-hour shifts
• Shift hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36-hour work weeks guaranteed
• Required certifications: BLS
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists required
• Function as a vital member of the OR team in the scrub position during surgical intervention
• Maintain a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN Standards
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures across a variety of services
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Assist team members by setting up and maintaining sterile field
• Demonstrate proper use of instruments, sutures, and stapling devices
• Follow appropriate procedures for obtaining, returning, cleaning, and disposing of equipment
• Prepare according to surgeon preference card and procedure
• Report and recognize faulty equipment and unsafe conditions
• Accurately perform all sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times
• Save and properly identify all specimens according to department policy and procedure
• Demonstrate ability to handle emergency situations
