ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or potentially 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• 36 hours per week with weekend rotations required
• Block scheduling type
• No on-call requirement
• Patient ratio of 3:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• 7-bed emergency department with a daily census of 27
• Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support for various medical conditions
• Expert-level IV access and other clinical interventions required
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Charting system: CERNER
• Wine-colored scrubs required
• 1-2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience required; minimum 2 years preferred
• First-time travelers will not be accepted
• WV or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; TNCC preferred — all BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS and NRP certifications also listed as requirements
