Job Details:

• 2 years of experience in service line required
• Travel experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday and Sunday count as weekend shifts)
• One on-call shift required per 6-week schedule
• 40 orientation hours required
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 10-13 patients across 13 beds
• Common patient diagnoses include post-op, orthopedic, diabetes, pneumonia, wound care, CBI, and URO cases
• Med-surg unit with no telemetry monitoring or cardiovascular drips
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Allscripts/Altera charting experience preferred but not required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, CVA care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, ABG interpretation, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry, total joint replacement care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
