Echo Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

Prisma Health Richland Hospital is seeking an Echo Technologist to join the Cardiology/Radiology department. You will work a night shift schedule performing echocardiography and vascular studies for adult and geriatric patient populations.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,514.24
• 91-day assignment
• Start date: June 29, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 2-D echocardiography, bubble studies, and color Doppler imaging
• Conduct portable studies at bedside as needed
• Work directly with adult and geriatric patients in a non-invasive lab setting

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree and completion of formal sonography program
• Dual certification: registered in both echocardiography and vascular technology
• Current ARDMS-RVT or CCI-RVS certification (vascular)
• Current ARDMS-AE and/or ARDMS-PE or CCI-RCS certification (echocardiography)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year of cardiac and vascular sonography experience performing non-invasive studies
• Minimum one year EPIC software experience
• Current flu vaccine (no exemptions)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Philips ultrasound equipment

Additional Information

• You must complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of start
• May be required to float to other qualified units based on census and patient acuity needs
