Registered Nurse - Pediatric Cardiology @ MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital

Opportunity:

RN - Peds

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Staff stay until the last patient is either discharged or admitted (rarely past 7:00 PM)
• Provide pre and post-anesthesia care for cardiovascular, EP, and interventional Cath procedures
• Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatric congenital cardiac patients
• Perform minimum of 2-3 patient visits per day with daily census of 8 patients
• Handle sedated studies, clinic visits, and cardiac surgical workups
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required, preferably pediatric ICU or procedural care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• South Carolina RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Epic charting system experience required
• Self-scheduling with team coordination, minimum of 2 Monday and 2 Friday shifts per month
• 24-hour orientation provided
• No weekend requirements, on-call, or floating to other units
• Work with special equipment including EKG, glucometer, and istat
• May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4 hours pre-start
