Respiratory Therapist Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You'll work as a Respiratory Care Practitioner at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City. This is a 26-week contract assignment on a 3x12 nights schedule, with a start date of May 4, 2026.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all appropriate age levels and departments
• Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
• Record treatment information and patient responses in computerized medical records
• Maintain and clean respiratory equipment
• Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Required credentials and experience:

• Current license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA) certification required upon hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA) certification required within 3 months of hire
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required within 12 months of hire
• Graduate from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Two years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred

You'll need the ability to work under stress while maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with your clinical team. Weekly pay is $2,530.80 for this 89-day assignment.
