NICU Registered Nurse Job in Lees Summit, MO

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at BJC West - Saint Lukes East - Lees Summit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• $2,187.39 weekly pay
• 4 weekend shifts (Friday and/or Saturday nights) per 6-week schedule
• 2 Sunday nights per 6-week schedule
• 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days RTO (rest time off) allowed

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patient ratios of 1:3 on weekends
• Provide care for all NICU levels (I, II, III) and neonates of all gestational ages
• Perform ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and UAC/UVC management
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide post-birth stabilization
• Float to well baby nursery and L&D as needed
• Care for patients with respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
