Respiratory Therapist Job in Kingwood, TX

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in a 457-bed acute care hospital in Kingwood, Texas. This 13-week travel assignment runs from June 1, 2026, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.). You will earn $1,445.40 per week.

Your Role

You will deliver respiratory care across multiple units on a rotating basis. Your responsibilities include arterial punctures, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and non-invasive ventilation. You will manage advanced equipment including V60 BiPAP, Vapotherm HF, Airvo HF, and Hamilton ventilators, along with Parapac and EPOC ABG analyzers. You will document care in the Meditech Expanse EMR system.

Unit Staffing and Patient Ratios

Night shifts operate with 6–9 respiratory therapists per shift. You will maintain patient ratios of 1:12–18 during initial rounds, with PM supervision and lead RT support available. Floating to different units is mandatory, with rotation assignments determined by facility needs.

Scheduling

• 3x12 nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call responsibilities

Required and Preferred Certifications

• Required: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred: NRP and PALS

Qualifications

You must have critical care experience and demonstrated patient assessment skills. You will be able to perform treatment procedures as ordered by physicians. Allied Health Professional credentials are required.
