Med Surg RN Job in Florence, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical position at MUSC Health – Florence. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 4 twelve-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio: 1:6–7 (standard 1:6, may flex to 1:7 during unplanned absence)
• Every other weekend required
• PRN on-call for low census
• Float to med surg units as needed
• Guaranteed hours: facility may call off one shift per two weeks
• Weekly pay: $2,419.20

Requirements

• Current South Carolina license or active Compact license (must be in hand before start)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted

Role Overview

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status. All patients eligible for telemetry monitoring are managed by monitor technicians in a central location. You will perform med-surg and telemetry skills, including insulin administration, rapid response protocols, port access and management, blood product administration, central line blood draws, chest tube management, colostomy and ileostomy care, CVA management, feeding tube care, heparin administration, wound care and wound vac, tracheostomy care, and PICC line management.

Facility Support

Interdisciplinary support is available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Telemedicine equipment is used on the unit; instruction will be provided. Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed.
